Let me help you find your ease.

Have you ever experienced any of the following?

  • You have a tendency to be critical of yourself and your decisions. Not doing more, not moving faster, not making enough money, saying the wrong thing at the meeting, feeling like you fucked up a decision, comparing yourself to others, being afraid to ask “dumb” questions...the list goes on. (That’s a lot of pressure, what can we take off?)

  • You feel that there is no room for error. Everything has to be on point. You can’t fail because you’re a statistical anomaly.

  • You wonder how to embrace your own definition of success (one that is more measured, more compassionate) in a world that wants to see unrealistic KPIs.

  • Wall after wall of structural inequality or too many no’s have hurt your confidence.

  • In high-stakes meetings, no one looks like you. You feel the whiplash of code switching.

  • You’re frozen in analysis paralysis. Or you know your decision but need that extra push to trust yourself.

  • You feel misaligned about selling and marketing to others.

  • You hate networking.

  • You hate putting yourself out there even though you know it would move you toward your goals.

  • You lose track of priorities and don’t make progress on your real goals.

  • Your money woes are keeping you up at night.

  • You feel stuck and want to figure out the next step.

Whew, did I miss anything? Oh right—and you also want to eat right and exercise and find love and develop your creative practice and heal from ancestral trauma.

You’ve sought out advisors, mentors, masterminds, and incubators. You scrape the internet for any sort of guidance. You read stories about people with a similar background just to feel less alone.

Something’s missing.  Conventional wisdom doesn’t apply to you. You are charting your own path and you have to learn to trust yourself.

Let me help you find your ease.

Charting your own path is a process of personal development, but you don’t have to do it alone. It’s a lot—and I’m here for all of it. We are not machines—instead, we are complex creatures, and we have to work with every aspect of our being.

What can I do for you?

Let’s work together to make sure you’re building on a bedrock of confidence, clarity, and inner peace.

I can empower you to:

  • Put yourself out there while knowing your true worth (which is inherent)

  • Declutter your brain to speed up your decision-making process

  • Clear up your drama about marketing and sales (it’s actually just about connecting with humans on a human-level)

  • Feel more productive, organized, and well-rested

  • Develop a healthy relationship with setbacks, uncertainty, and failure (because how else are you going to make it through this life?)

  • Pitch, sell, negotiate, and network with actual confidence

  • Prioritize yourself and your own self-care

My offer

I provide coaching to help you develop your strength, clarity, and confidence. My coaching style uses a blend of Socratic methods of questioning, Buddhist thought, and pragmatic tools you can start using immediately to find your ease.

I guide you to understand how white supremacy, patriarchy, and capitalism have distorted our thinking, so that, as cheesy as this sounds, you can set yourself free. I am touchy-feely, yet grounded and analytical. I work with clients who want to engage fully with their thoughts and feelings in order to develop a belief system that serves them better.

My whole life has been defined by struggle and reinvention. This is how I developed resilience and self-knowledge.

I was born in Chengdu, immigrated to Chicago, went to Stanford, worked in Silicon Valley, and now am committed to my coaching practice in Berlin. I’ve had to figure out how to fit in everywhere and still be true to myself. I am a writer. I have languished and I have thrived. I’ve lost a parent to ALS, and with this, my own inhibition. I’ve had to define my own terms of success and create my own happiness—which is how I want to support you.

I work with underrepresented go-getters because I believe in you and your idea. Your success means more to me than protecting the status quo. Your aspirations are more inclusive, sustainable, humane—and human. So are mine. And I believe you’re the right person to do exactly what you are setting out to do.

Here is what clients have to say

"Raina has been essential during a tender period of uncertainty and growth. She invites a curiosity-driven approach, while making sure we never lose sight of our professional goals. And as a woman of color from a similar immigrant background, Raina, for lack of a better term, just gets it. Anyone working with her can expect a compassionate advocate who creates a safe space for exploration, challenge and change."

— Stephanie Liu and Monica Villavicencio, Co-founders of Xerophile

“Raina is approachable, intuitive and intelligent. She is a dynamic coach: she maintains a professional distance while being warm and affable and challenging to just the right degree. Her ability to listen, to digest what has been said, and to re-frame are invaluable tools for her work as a coach, and as her coachee you can trust in her capability to help guide you towards what you truly desire. Raina has given me ‘re-frames’ of problems in my work that I will use beyond my career.”

— Elly Jarvis

“I’m a new business owner. I attended networking sessions to promote my business and gain exposure, but I realized that I had a lot of anxiety and fear when it came to pitching my idea. I knew I had a great idea but the thought of failure grew and I took a step back from my business. After each session with Raina, I realized this is the motivation that I needed. Raina provided me with tools and resources to change my mindset to get back into the startup world and now I believe I have the tools to accomplish anything.”

—Shaniece Wilson, CEO/Founder of Inner Freak

“Sessions with Raina exceeded my expectations.  Raina listened to me attentively, she was present every minute of our conversation. This gave me a feeling of safety and trust. I could relax more and dive deeper into self-discovery and problem-solving.  From our sessions, I took practical tools for my business and personal life.”

—Nadya Zeitlin, Artistic Director of Bautanzt Here

“Through working with Raina, I started giving fewer fucks. I had anxiety in curating a version of myself for others to see, whether it was on social media or in social situations. I had a lot of underlying insecurity around not being good enough. We really reframed those thoughts. And now I've learned that it's not any matter of what anyone thinks, it's a matter of how I feel.

The biggest surprise was how much value-add this experience was. Our work is improved so many parts of my life. Raina is a real comrade on my team.”

—Carly Lave

“I am British-Pakistani, neurodiverse, and have imposter syndrome. I recently landed a new job, which was a long-held goal of mine, and cannot thank Raina enough in helping me get it by teaching me to manage my interview anxiety and challenge negative thoughts. Highly recommended.”

—Madhia Hussain (they/them), project coordinator/playwright

“The greatest transformation I got from working with Raina was being able to ask for a 25% raise that let me work less time. We uncovered deeper reasons for why I wasn't asking for more money. I found so much freedom by asserting my own needs.

I would recommend Raina to people who are ready to reclaim a sense of sovereignty over their lives and their choices. I felt like I lost the feeling of being able to drive my life. I had learned self-loathing.

By working with Raina, I was able to reclaim sovereignty over my mind and the patterns that were holding me back. I left every conversation feeling in control in a way that I didn't before.”

—Alex G.

“I come from years of woking in architecture, which is an industry that believes there was only one way to be in this world and everyone should try to achieve this one type of success, when really only certain types of people can achieve that. As a result, I developed a really harmful style of working, one that was dysfunctional and full of anxiety. I still had goals I wanted to achieve of course, as a business owner, but I wanted a change. After coaching with Raina, I experienced a big shift in how I go through my day. I now work with much more awareness, clarity, and control.”
